Scope & Content This collection consists of two bills of sale for slaves, one woman and one man, sold by Charlton Way to Wallace Cumming. These sales occurred after the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863; Way sold the female slave on July 30, 1864 and the male slave on March 15, 1865.
