Scope & Content This collection consists of papers collected by J. Randolph Anderson concerning the Wayne, Stites, and Anderson family. The papers are arranged by family surname, with a combined folio section at the end of the collection. The papers relating to the Waynes begin with the Richard Wayne and Richard Wayne, Jr. papers, 1756-1817. These consist of a sales book, papers of estates for which Richard Wayne the elder was the administrator or executor, and miscellaneous papers. Included in the Richard Wayne papers are documents concerning the Georgia Company, one of the Yazoo companies. Richard Wayne was a charter member and these are his copies.
