Scope & Content This collection consists of a lexicon of the Cherokee language compiled by Jacob R. Brooks of DeKalb County, Georgia and presented to Colonel W. W. Hazzard of Glynn County, Georgia. This inventory includes nouns, numerals and other miscellaneous terms. It gives the Cherokee names of the members of the Georgia Legislature in 1830 as well as a history of the Cherokee tribe in the state.
